The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) has been honoured with a Grand Award in the Project Category of the Hong Kong openBIM/openGIS Award 2023.

Organised by the Hong Kong Alliance of Built Asset and Environment Information Management Associations and the Hong Kong Chapter of buildingSMART International, the Award aims to recognise HA’s innovative use of openBIM, openGIS and other cutting-edge technologies through developing its Centralised Project Information Management System (CPIMS) for use in the public housing project of Yip Wong Road Phases 1 and 2.

The CPIMS integrates building information modelling, geographic information systems and project key data from different public housing projects to enhance overall management efficiency across planning, design, construction and handover stages.
