Autodesk Hong Kong BIM Awards 2025 Received

The Public Housing Development at Hin Fat Lane, Tuen Mun, has been awarded at the Autodesk Hong Kong BIM Awards 2025 in recognition of HA's application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology in this project.

HKIPM Project Management Achievement Awards Obtained

HA has recently received five awards at the HKIPM Project Management Achievement Awards 2025, in recognition of HA’s excellence and outstanding achievements in project management.

The Project of the Year and the Winner of the Awards – Cheung Tung Estate – is recognised for the project team’s proactive collaboration with various government departments and stakeholders to overcome site constraints, tackle construction technical challenges and refine application details of Modular Integrated Construction.

Gold Award from The Ombudsman Received

HD has been presented with the Gold Award of The Ombudsman’s Awards for Public Organisations organised by the Office of The Ombudsman (the Office). Meanwhile, Senior Housing Manager / Tenancy Management Policy, Ms Winnie Chow, and Architect, Ms Candy Cheng, have received The Ombudsman’s Awards 2025 for Officers of Public Organisations.

The Ombudsman, Mr Jack Chan, commended HD’s proactive cooperation over the past year, responding earnestly to the Office’s enquiries with comprehensive, clear and detailed information. HD staff have contributed a lot to many successful mediation cases. They have gone the extra mile to address the concerns of the elderly and people with special needs, reflecting HD’s commitment to enhancing the quality of public administration.

HA’s Contractors Commended in Occupational Safety and Health Award

HA’s new works contractors have recently been honoured at the 24th Hong Kong Occupational Safety & Health Award Forum and Award Presentation Ceremony. Three outstanding awards have been received in the Construction Industry Category – Safety Performance Award and Construction Industry Category – Rookie Safety Performance Award. Organised by the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Council, the Award aims to recognise organisations with outstanding achievements in the field of OSH.

HA’s Contractors Commended at Considerate Site Award Scheme

HA’s works contractors have been honoured again at the Considerate Contractors Site Award Scheme. Four awards have been received from the categories of Non-Public Works – New Works – Group A, and Non-Public Works – Model Subcontractor at this 31st Award Scheme. Jointly organised by the Development Bureau and the Construction Industry Council, the award scheme is an annual event which aims to promote a zero-accident culture and a caring environment in the construction industry.

HA Annual Report Received an International Award

The Annual Report 2023/24 of HA has recently won the Bronze award of “Interior Design: Housing” from the 39th Annual International ARC Awards. Organised by MerComm, Inc of New York, USA, the awards honour corporations producing excellent annual reports. Entries around the world have been evaluated by panels of judges representing international leaders in the fields of writing and design.

Gold Award in Privacy-Friendly Awards 2025 Honoured

The Housing Department received the Gold Award in the Privacy-Friendly Awards 2025 at the presentation ceremony held on 10 July. The Awards were organised by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong (PCPD). Under the theme of “Safeguarding Data Security: Marching towards a New Digital Era”, the Awards aim to recognise the commitment and performance of enterprises, public and private organisations, as well as government departments in protecting personal data privacy.

Asia Pacific GovMedia Awards 2025 Honoured

HA has won the awards of the “Hong Kong Public-Private Partnership of the Year – Housing” and “Hong Kong Public Sector Initiative of the Year – Youth” at the GovMedia Awards 2025. The award presentation ceremony, held in Singapore, commended the outstanding achievements of government projects and initiatives across the Asia-Pacific and recognised public organisations that demonstrate leadership, creativity and impact in public services.

HA Contractors Commended for Construction Safety

The contractors of works of the HA have been honoured in the Construction Industry Safety Award Scheme 2024/2025. A total of 13 awards in five categories, including three Golds, two Silvers and three Bronzes, were received at the Award Presentation Ceremony. Co-organised by the Labour Department, the construction industry and various government departments, the annual scheme aims to boost awareness of safety and health among stakeholders and promote safety culture in the industry.

HA Contractors Commended for Construction Safety

Jointly organised by the Occupational Safety and Health Council; Labour Department; various government departments; organisations, associations and unions in the industry; the 25th Construction Safety Award Forum and Award Presentation Ceremony was held on 17 April 2025. With over 470 entries competing in nine award categories, contractors of New Works Contract under the HA have received a total of seven awards in six categories, covering one Gold, two Silvers and four Bronzes, in recognition of their outstanding achievements in occupational safety and health.

Merit Award in Landscape Communication Received

HA has been granted a Merit Award in the “Landscape Communication” category of the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects Awards 2024, in recognition of its achievements in Well-being Design Guidelines, along with related estate improvement projects and activities to enhance the well-being of public housing residents.

“Well．Being and Smart Homes” Landscape Design Honoured with Gold Award for Design Excellence (Landscape Display)

Actively participated in the annual Hong Kong Flower Show, the Housing Department has designed a “Well‧Being and Smart Homes” Garden that blends smart technology with housing estate elements to echo the theme of the Show this year – “Ablaze with Glory”. The landscape design has proudly won the “Gold Award for Design Excellence (Landscape Display)”.

HA’s new works contractors have been honoured with three awards at the 23rd Hong Kong Occupational Safety and Health Award Forum and Award Presentation Ceremony, covering two outstanding awards of the Construction Industry Category – Rookie Safety Performance Award, and a merit of the OSH Report Award. Organised by the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Council, the Award aims to recognise organisations with outstanding achievements in the field of OSH.

HK Institute of Housing Elite Awards Honoured

The management team of Yiu Tung Estate under the HA has received the Best Crisis Management Team – Excellence Award at the Hong Kong Institute of Housing Elite Awards 2024, in recognition of its prompt response capabilities to safeguard residents’ safety. The team has made swift arrangements including cleanup of landslides and drainage ditches, resumption of water supply and operation of other facilities, and proactively rendered assistance to those residents affected by road closure, in the face of the torrential rain and landslides in September 2023. Organised by the HKIH, the Awards aim to recognise professionalism and outstanding achievement of the local housing management individuals and teams.
