The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) has been granted two awards at the Excellent Building Award 2023.

Organised by the Building Services Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the Award aims to recognise organisations with outstanding performances in the development of quality housing, green buildings, and against COVID-19. HA’s Queens Hill Estate has been presented with “Excellent Building Grand Award (New Building)” and “Anti-epidemic (COVID-19) Achievement Award”.

The construction design of Queens Hill Estate has integrated elements of innovation, sustainability and energy efficiency to enhance building efficiency. During the 5th wave of the epidemic, two public housing blocks of Queens Hill Estate were converted into community isolation facilities, providing about 2 500 isolation units to help fight against the epidemic.
